A fan-made illustration for God of War depicts the colossal Midgard Serpent emerging from the shadows of the Lake of Nine.
A piece of fan art shows a preview of the large size of God of the waris Jormungandr.
Photo shows the world serpent lurking beneath the waters of a lone dinghy, easily eclipsing the ship above with its mass. His glowing yellow eyes gaze up at a small figure on board the ship, who could be Atreus, from the recognizable quiver strapped to their backs. One of the things the shadows around Jormungandr are used to give the illustration an eerie feel, as if the depths still hide the true scale of the Midgard Serpent below.
Some Quantic Dream fans may have felt that some elements of the image’s makeup were familiar, and there’s a reason for that. The creator of this piece revealed that one of the titles released by the French studio influenced their work, commenting, “By the way, this game-inspired way called Sea of ââloneliness. “
Jormungandr originally appeared on Kratos and Atreus’ journey through Midgard in 2018 God of the war. While he initially seemed like a monstrous giant worthy of becoming the game’s final boss fight, he actually became a friend of the father-son duo and even shared Kratos’ dislike of the Aesir gods. He harbors a particular hatred for Thor Odinson, whom he is destined to face during the last days of Ragnarok.
There is good news for gamers who are hoping to see the World Serpent in all its gargantuan glory but have yet to get their hands on a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. God of the war officially coming to PC on January 14, 2022, with additional features such as the integration of the Nvidia Reflex system, which should deliver a more responsive gaming experience. However, interested PC owners may want to check out the specification list first for God of the warbecause its higher settings can put a heavy load on more expensive systems.
Veteran fans of the series may also have heard of a possible leak regarding God of the warmore to come. The PlayStation database reportedly listed God of War: Ragnarok for a September 30, 2022 release, although it is possible that the information listed is just a placeholder left during the title’s development cycle. While Santa Monica Studio has scheduled the continuation of the Kratos and Atreus saga for 2022, it has yet to give a specific date for the game’s launch.
