Batman Fan Art Turns Dylan O’Brien Into The DCEU’s Nightwing

Warner Bros. and DC Comics are set to do a complete overhaul of their DC Comics productions, with the studio developing a 10-year plan. The studio has canceled several projects like wonder twins and bat girl for tax purposes. bat girl was originally rumored to feature Teen Wolf star Dylan O’Brien as Nightwing, but with the cancellation that doesn’t seem likely. An artist recently created a drawing of the actor as Batman’s sidekick and one wonders what could have been.

An Instagram artist who goes by the name of @Barrett.Digtal has made some awesome fan art that shows O’Brien as Dick Grayson/Nightwing. Art gives the Teen Wolf feature an accurate costume that looks a bit better than the one we put ourselves in Titans. While we probably won’t see this live, it’s certainly sparking some interest. “I’m not ruling anything out actually, so it’s not like I wouldn’t entertain him if something came up for me and it was like with a really talented filmmaker that I desperately wanted to work with and if that was a really cool take on the part.” O’Brien recently shared with The Playlist. “I’m leaning towards wanting to find those kind of smaller character roles for myself. Just because, really, it’s been a long time and I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to do it, so it’s just like , I just think for now at least, more fulfilling to experiment like that and challenge myself that way…I’m definitely not closed to anything.”

Before bat girl was canceled by Warner Bros. Discovery, the actor was rumored to appear as Dick Grayson/Nightwing. O’Brien addressed recent rumors surrounding him possibly playing Dick Grayson/Nightwing in DC’s upcoming Batgirl movie.

“Yeah, it only happened to me once or twice,” O’Brien said at the time. “That’s definitely the most important moment, you know? And, yeah, I always pick up a phone and go, ‘Hey, what’s going on, you know, what’s going on on the side professional things?'”

bat girl was led by bad boys for lifeby Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi, with a screenplay written by Christina Hodson, whose work includes Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) and the upcoming the flash film. The film is set to see JK Simmons reprising his role as Commissioner James Gordon, Michael Keaton reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Brendan Fraser joining the cast as Firefly, Ivory Aquino as Alysia Yeoh and Jacob Scipio, Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai performed currently unknown roles.
