Demon Slayer: Zenitsu Builds Momentum in Electrifying Fan Art

Demon Slayer’s coward Zenitsu takes on a shocking new look and a more traditionally heroic appearance in a new fan art portrait.

Zenitsu seems to have much less to fear in a new piece of demon slayer fan art.

The new version of the character comes from artist HP Parker, who created what they call “Daddy Zenitsu”. Their take on the perpetually terrified yet powerful swordsman takes on more defined musculature and a confident demeanor, as he literally glows with power. The Thunder Breathing Specialist comes with his unique lightning-striped Nichirin blade and brightly colored haori, which is now worn over one shoulder only to show off the character’s new physique.

HP Parker is an artist based in Kolkata, India. In addition to Zenitsu, Parker has created beautiful artwork inspired by the insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho, as well as the target of Zenitsu’s affections/simping, Nezuko Kamado. In addition to their own original characters, the artist has also painted a number of other video game and anime icons, including Marin Kitagawa from this season’s biggest surprise hit, My Dress-Up Darling, and the android warrior 2B from Square Enix’s existential action. RPG, Nier Automata.

Fans who prefer Zenitsu’s canon appearance can continue to see him reluctantly step into action in the final season of demon slayer, which is currently nearing the end of the Entertainment District arc. The timid Demon Hunter recently showed what he’s truly capable of in a clip from the latest episode, where he coordinated his lightning-fast Thunder Breathing style with his partners Tanjiro and Inosuke to take on the Upper Rank Demon Daki.
