Hugh Jackman portrayed the role of Wolverine for more than fifteen years during Fox’s x-men years. But with Jackman now removed from the role, fans are constantly explaining what they think should take on the iconic Marvel role.

One of the fan favorite picks to play next Wolverine is a British actor Taron Egerton. After witnessing an outstanding performance in Kingsman: The Secret Service he played several real-world characters such as Eddie Edwards in Eddie the eagleand Elton John in Rocketman. As he’s garnering more and more mainstream attention, he just might be the perfect man to play the grizzled mutant hero.

Thanks to the beauty of hardworking fan artists, we got a glimpse of what Egerton could look like as Logan. Josh from clements.ink has given the world an amazing demo of the man who may soon enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Wolverine remains one of Marvel’s most popular comic book characters, with him ranked as the greatest comic book character of all time by Wizard in 2008. Probably the first time we’ll see Wolverine in the MCU is when X-Men ’97 lands on Disney Plus in the near future.

A big debate to have is whether the world really needs to see the X-Men again so soon after their last long run ended as recently as 2020. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness reintroduced Patrick Stewart as Professor X, but in the same breath also had his head implode thanks to non-mutant Scarlet Witch.

Egerton has previously commented on the rumors, saying he did indeed hold talks with Marvel in July 2022.
