Festival venues will be set up in Coventry and Warwickshire for the Commonwealth Games


Four festival venues will be set up in Coventry and Warwickshire next month when the Commonwealth Games arrive in the region. The venues are part of Birmingham 2022 organizers’ plans to set up a total of 10 such zones across the region for fans to celebrate and watch the Games.

Sites will be opened in Coventry, Leamington Spa, Warwick and Solihull. Free fan zones will be open in July and August and one will also be open in London to mark 10 years of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Tim Hodgson, Birmingham Festival 2022 Festival and Venues Senior Producer, said: “The Birmingham 2022 Festival venues are where sport and culture will combine to provide a fantastic free opportunity for local residents and visitors to embrace the Commonwealth Games and celebrate together. giant screen with live coverage will keep people up to date with the sporting action, but they will also be entertained throughout the day with a dynamic cultural program, featuring established and emerging local talent.
