Fullmetal Alchemist meets Spy x Family in new crossover fan art


An anime fan imagines Roy, Riza and the Elrics from Fullmetal Alchemist as Spy x Family forgers, creating an adorable mashup fan art.

A creative anime fan merged the worlds of Spy x Family and Fullmetal Alchemist to create an adorable mashup piece of art.

The artwork was posted on Reddit by Karina Kamichi and features Colonel Roy Mustang, Lt. Riza Hawkeye, and younger versions of Edward and Alphonse Elric recreating one of the looks of one of the Spy x Familythe best-known key works of art. Roy is dressed in Loid’s olive suit, Riza is dressed in the black dress that Yor wears when on a mission, and the Elric siblings take Anya’s place.

Spy X Family was one of the hits of the current anime season and is based on the manga series by Tatsuya Endo. With studio (Ranking of kings) and CloverWorks (My darling dressing) work together to adapt the story, which follows the often goofy adventures of the Forger family, which includes Loid Forger, a surprisingly empathetic super spy, Yor, a professional assassin who is also a caring but absent-minded woman, and Anya, a young girl who can read minds. The anime and manga have received a lot of praise for their blend of comedy, action, and heartfelt drama.

by Hiromu Arakawa Fullmetal Alchemist the manga series was serialized in Square Enix Monthly Shōnen Gangan from July 2001 to June 2010, producing 27 volumes of content. The story follows Edward and Alphonse, two brothers who lose body parts after using the mysterious art of alchemy in an attempt to revive their recently deceased mother. Now seeking to right their mistakes, the brothers search for the legendary Philosopher’s Stone, a powerful alchemical artifact that can help them recover their bodies. The series has received multiple awards and one of the most popular manga of the decade.


Arakawa’s manga received two separate anime adaptations from eureka sevenBONES Studio: Fullmetal Alchemist, which debuted in October 2003, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which premiered in 2009 and follows Arakawa’s story much more closely. Two new live-action Fullmetal Alchemist the films are set to release later this year to celebrate the manga’s 20th anniversary.
