God of War Ragnarok Fan Art Imagines What Odin Could Look Like In The Game

With players not yet having an idea of how Odin will look from God of War Ragnarok, one fan suggests a possible design for the Norse God.

God of War Ragnarok is shaping up to be a huge game, with Santa Monica confirming that it will serve as the end of the Nordic saga. With the story about to end, Kratos looks set to run into Odin by the end of God of War Ragnarok.

From the stories told by Mimir in 2018 God of the war, Odin is a dreadful person who never shies away from cruelty. Because of this, he could end up being an extremely formidable opponent, which would suit the strongest god in the Norse pantheon. With veteran actor Richard Schiff set to play King of the Norse Gods, he should look amazing – although his looks are currently a mystery among the gaming community.

Recently a concept of God of War Ragnarok‘s Odin was posted on Reddit, with the fan playing Odin with long hair and plenty of unique items he had collected over the years. He also had a staff in his hand, clearly ready for a battle with Kratos. Now, that same Redditor has given another take on Odin, with Buffybumcheeks showing the character in a more relaxed position.

Odin can be seen seated on a fantasy throne in this God of the war fan art, with the chair with a lantern on one side and a unique shape for the backrest. While one of Odin’s hands is resting, another is holding one of his crows, with the character likely gathering information about what happened in Midgard and the other realms. As for Odin’s outfit, it’s less complex than the one seen in the previous artwork, although it still looks great. Some furs combine with detailed textures to make the outfit look like something one would actually wear during the snowy Ragnarok.

As for Odin’s face, his hair is clearly receding, showing that the King of the Gods is as old as one might expect. He sports a big beard like the one God of War Ragnarok‘s Thor aura, which is a nice touch. Another great detail can be seen with Odin’s eyes. Instead of an eye patch, he wears a detailed gold coin. A tattoo wraps around his other eye, and with Baldur and Thor both having their own tattoos, it would certainly make sense for Odin to continue this trend.

With the art of maintaining the same style of God of War RagnarokThe character posters of, as the name of the character and actor is visible in the center, there is a lot to love about the fan’s hard work. With over 1,000 upvotes to date, it’s clear that many people appreciate Odin’s approach.

God of War Ragnarok will launch in 2022 on PS4 and PS5.
