God of War Ragnarok fan shows off fantastic Atreus fan art



A God of War fan recreates the ancient Atreus in a stunning piece of art for the upcoming God of War Ragnarok game using colored pencils.

Sony God of the war The series lasted more than a decade after Kratos traveled through different pantheons, slaughtering gods one at a time. The success of the series continues to grow with the next installment of Kratos and Atreus’ journey through the Norse mythological landscape in the next one. God of War: Ragnarok.

Recently, God of the war received a lot of attention between the controversy over Thor’s appearance in the God of War: Ragnarok trailer and announcement of God of the war ported to PC early next year. The new game will follow Kratos and Atreus as they uncover Atreus’ true purpose and end their adventures in the Norse Saga. Since the announcement, fans have shown their concepts of gods who have yet to appear and the two main protagonists.

Many took to Reddit to show off their superb skills and fan-art creations, such as the user who shared his fan-art concept for what Odin might look like in God of War: Ragnarok. Other users, like RammsteinAro, have created the main characters with amazing detail that seems to come straight from an artist working on the game. Ragnarok looks digitally perfected but was created with Faber Castell colored pencils, showing the artist’s amount of skill. The image is placed between the pencils to represent what they are able to create perfectly and the wide spectrum of colors used.

Vivid colors and details capture the maturity of the character in between God of the war installments. This older Atreus is seen with battle scars on his face and a combat ready expression, much like the same war expression his father wears. Even the feathers on the arrows and the fur are perfectly detailed in the masterpiece. As seen in the God of War: Ragnarok trailer, this older Atreus will play a bigger role in helping Kratos in battle as he continues towards the Norse Apocalypse.

Kratos has changed a lot over the games as he ventures through different pantheons, later accompanied by a son shrouded in mystery. Fans can’t wait to learn the truth about Atreus’ purpose and fate as he travels through Norse myth with his father in God of War: Ragnarok. Those with a Playstation Now subscription can currently play the God of the war game to catch up on the story leading to the last installment of the Nordic saga.

God of War: Ragnarok is slated for release on PS4 and PS5 in 2022.
