‘Hawkeye’ fan art imagines Vincent D’Onofrio’s pivot as ‘Uncle Fisk’

There is a good reason Hawk Eye Fans believe Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin from the popular 2015 Netflix series daredevil will make a comeback in the world of Marvel.

Rumors are circulating about the actor’s return even before details on Hawk eyes the plot emerged. Now, there may be some credibility to this theory if fans’ interpretations of a few Easter Eggs are correct.

The last episodes of Hawk Eye introduced Maya Lopez from Alaqua Cox, also known as Echo, who referred to her “uncle”. This is likely a reference to the comics in which Echo was taken in and raised by Kingpin after his father died. There was even a flashback to the character’s chubby hand patting Maya’s face in a flashback in a recent episode, which many people now think may be D’Onofrio’s.

In keeping with the show’s ‘home for the holidays’ theme, a new fan art piece now dominates artist @billythebutcher’s MarvelStudios subreddit. Entitled simply “Uncle Fisk,” the artwork resembles a classic hand-drawn movie poster, especially the iconic John Candy comedy artwork. Uncle Buck. You can check out the artwork for yourself here.

As for the others daredevil Characters making their way into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, actor Charlie Cox has been confirmed by Marvel boss Kevin Feige to return as Man Without Fear in future installments of the franchise, possibly even. Spider-Man: No Path Home.
