A Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic fan has created fan art of some of the game’s characters in the style of the 2003 Clone Wars animated series.

fan art for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic reimagined Darth Revan in the style of the 2003s clone wars animated series. KOTOR is one of the most popular games in the star wars franchise. Originally released in 2003 for Xbox and PC, KOTOR introduces iconic characters such as Darth Revan, Kreia, Darth Malak, and more. Although not considered part of the current star wars canon, the popularity of the RPG has not only led to KOTOR and its sequel KOTOR 2 getting Nintendo Switch releases, but also developing a full Aspyr remake.

After months of rumors and speculation, the Knights of the Old Republic remake was finally confirmed late last year by its developer Aspyr, the studio that ported the original games to Mac, iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. It’s been revealed that the remake is set to release on PC and is a timed console exclusive for the PlayStation 5. Not much is known about the KOTOR remake yet, including how much of a change it has from the original. . But given that it’s labeled as a remake instead of a remaster, it’s likely to have significant differences from the original in terms of visuals and gameplay. Earlier reports have also claimed that the KOTOR remake is aiming for a 2023 release.

Reddit user NerdiconPrime recently shared his Knights of the Old Republic fan art on the star wars subreddit, with fellow user CarterSevenFive sharing a bit more about the KOTOR subreddit. Fan art features several iconic icons KOTOR characters such as Revan, Darth Malak, and the Sith Triumvirate of Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion. They are made in the artistic style of Genndy Tartakovsky, who created in 2003 clone wars anime series as well as other shows such as Dexter’s Laboratory and samurai jack, to name a few. According to CarterSevenFive, the art is part of a larger fan-made animation project called Star Wars: Scars of the Old Republic.

The clone wars anime series, which began airing in 2003, took place between the attack of the clones and Revenge of the Sith films and spotlights not only franchise clones, but also introduces star wars‘ ARC Troopers, the elite clone army troopers who worked closely with the Jedi. Additionally, the series introduced several characters who would later be featured in the films, such as General Grievous and Commander Cody, as well as Count Dooku’s own apprentice, Asajj Ventress.

NerdiconPrime’s fan art looks really impressive and the fan-made animation project looks very much like a successor to the clone wars anime series, although not official or canon. Hopefully NerdiconPrime and the rest of their team will continue to work on their project and share more images of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2003 characters clone wars style.
