Moody Fan Art places Legend of Zelda Bond in Dark Souls

A Twitter user creates fan art that merges Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda and FromSoftware’s Dark Souls, transporting Link to a hollow world.

Both FromSoftware Dark souls and that of Nintendo THE Legend of Zelda have passionate fans and are inspirations for a multitude of fan-created content. An artist on Twitter merged the two worlds, plunging the hero of Hyrule into a hollow world.

Malin Falch’s work presents an image of The Legend of Zelda the hero Link takes care of his horse in a dark forest and another of him looks sadly at one of the Dark soulsiconic bonfires. The art has gained popularity on Twitter with many users supplementing and praising it. One reviewer wrote: “Grrrr I love them! Your art is awesome, thanks for sharing it with us”, another read, “Merging my two favorite game series into one gorgeous piece of art? Amazing, simply incredible.”

The original THE Legend of Zelda game (called The Hyrule Fantasy: Zelda no Densetsu) was created by Shigeru Miyamoto and released in 1986. Dark souls was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and released in 2011.

Malin’s merger of THE Legend of Zelda and Dark souls isn’t the only recent fan art that has excited gamers. For example, Marvel comic artist Mark Brooks shared his Lady Dimitrescu fan art from Resident Evil Village while Twitter user GaemonFocus created an animation of God of War: Ragnorak‘s Kratos and Atreus.

The two Souls of Darkness and THE Legend of Zelda are available to play on Nintendo Switch.
