Sadie Sink is Jean Gray in jaw-dropping fan art

For years, 20th Century Fox has made movies based on the x-men comics. These gave us iconic performances like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Patrick Stewart as Professor X. But in 2019 Disney bought Fox, meaning it now owns the screen rights to the Xs. -Men. Disney also happens to own Marvel (Disney owns about half of pop culture at this point; if you don’t know who made a movie or TV show, Disney is always a good guess). That means it’s only a matter of time before Disney introduces the X-Men to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But when that happens, who will play these iconic heroes?

Disney has already brought in some of the old players for fun cameos – think of Stewart returning as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – but they are unique pieces. When the X-Men are introduced to the MCU for the long term, they will likely be played by new actors.

Fans definitely have their ideas of who these characters should play. One of them, cap.ironwidow, even brought a brilliant idea to life in fan art: what if Sadie Sink played Jean Grey? Find out what it could look like here.

Will Sadie sink from stranger things join the X-Men?

Jean Gray is one of the original mutants from the very first issues of x-men throwback to the early 60s. She is both telepathic and telekinetic, which means she can read minds and throw stuff around the room with her brain. She has a long publishing history, becoming a comic book icon with the Dark Phoenix arc. It’s a goldmine of a role for whoever gets it.

Sadie Sink, meanwhile, is a rising star who rose to fame as the brave Max Mayfield on stranger things. She played a significant role in the final season, even facing off against an interdimensional monster in a plotline that wouldn’t be completely out of place in a x-men story. She’s ready for it.

Additionally, she and Jean Gray have bright red hair; I don’t think we can underestimate how important this is to selling the cup. Disney will probably let us know before too long who they’re going to play as the X-Men and I wouldn’t be shocked to see Sink’s name on the list.
