Shah Rukh Khan’s Twitter Fan Page Donates Rs 1 lakh to Coronavirus Relief Fund: ‘In the Footsteps of Our Idol’ | Bollywood

Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s Twitter fan page “SRK Universe Fan Club” donated to the Prime Minister’s Fund for Citizen Assistance and Emergency Relief (PM-CARES) . In a tweet, the fan page wrote that they were inspired by the actor’s recent multiple donations to various coronavirus relief funds.

“The least we can do. In the footsteps of our idol @iamsrk, a small contribution from us to the PM CARES fund. @redchilliesent #CoronaUpdatesInIndia # COVID19Pandemic #coronavirusindia # COVID2019, ”the tweet read. The attached screenshot shows the receipts for a donation of Rs 1 lakh.

Fans of the actor were touched by the page’s gesture and applauded them for the donations. “Like Idol Like Fans,” wrote one. “It’s really amazing and it’s a great feeling to be associated with a team that follows all the good stuff from their idol and inspiration @iamsrk sir. I wish my donation share was tied to that amount as well. . Together we will fight and we will succeed #SrkUniverse, “wrote another fan. Shah Rukh himself has yet to reply to the post.

Shah Rukh took to Twitter on Friday and said his companies – Kolkata Knight Riders, Red Chillies Entertainment, Meer Foundation and Red Chillies VFX – are taking several initiatives to support relief efforts. He tweeted: “In these times his imp makes everyone around you work tirelessly for you… unrelated to you… maybe even without your knowledge… to feel that they are not alone and by them. themselves. He indicated that his donations would be distributed evenly among:

1. PM-CARES Fund: Kolkata Knight Riders, the IPL franchise, has pledged to contribute to the PM-CARES Fund.

2. Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund: Red Chillies Entertainment has planned to contribute to the Maharashtra CM Relief Fund

3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Healthcare Providers: KKR and the Meer Foundation will work with the governments of West Bengal and Maharashtra and provide 50,000 PPE kits.

4. Ek Saath – The Earth Foundation: The Meer Foundation and Ek Saath will provide daily food needs to more than 5,500 families for at least one month in Mumbai.

5. Roti Foundation: The Meer Foundation, in association with the Roti Foundation, will provide 3 lakh meal kits to 10,000 people per day for at least one month.

6. Workers’ Charter: The Meer Foundation, in association with them, will provide basic necessities and groceries for at least one month to over 2,500 daily paid workers who have been identified across Delhi.

7. Acid Attack Survivor Support: The Meer Foundation will provide a monthly allowance to over 100 acid attack survivors who will take care of their basic needs. Identified survivors are found across UP, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal and Uttarakhand.
