Teen Titans becomes the Scooby Gang in hilarious fan art

New fan art reunites the Teen Titans with the team at Scooby-Doo’s Mystery Inc., as the Titans dress like their fellow DC Comics heroes.

The Teen Titans received funny news fan art makeover, crossing with Scooby doo and the crew of Mystery Inc. Just in time for Halloween, the team of super teens dress up and their group costume is perfect. This is especially true since they have worked with Mystery Inc. in the comics before.

The Teen Titans debuted in The brave and the daring # 54 in 1964, which brings them closer to the same age as Mystery Inc. The two have had many adventures and even crossed paths in their animated series and in the comics. In 2014, the Teen Titans and Scooby-Doo solved a mystery together in Scooby Doo! Team up # 4. Now the two of them end up in some hilarious fan art again.

On Instagram, artist Maru Davalos shared fan art of Teen Titans disguised as a gang of Scooby-Doo mystery solvers. This art refers directly to the opening of Scooby-Doo, where are you? (1969). Another artwork in the post shares the animated series Teen Titans characters in Scooby’s crew outfits. These teams can take on different villains, but they’re both great at their jobs and have been successful partners in the past. This crossover is very appropriate and timely for Halloween.

In art, Starfire is Daphne, Raven is Velma, Cyborg is Shaggy, Robin is Fred, and Beast Boy has transformed into Scooby-Doo. Starfire kept her green eyes glowing, Cyborg wears Shaggy’s shirt while being mechanical himself, and Raven examines a book using her magical abilities. She also wears glasses like Velma, which makes her perfectly suited for the role. This version of the character is also very much aligned with the comics, forgoing his gray skin tone that the animated version is known to have. The team the groups had formed in the 2014 comic pitted them against the mildly irritating Myron – another demonic relative of Raven. They joined forces to crush his plans, as the heroes do. Considering the popularity of both teams, it would be interesting to see them in more crossovers – especially since Batman himself recently teamed up with Mystery Inc. and even gave them a tour of the Batcave.

Not all crime is the same variety and level of danger, but DC’s wide array of crime solvers have some intriguing adventures together. Davalo’s art exemplifies the respect that DC teams have for each other. He also succeeds in capturing the playful and fun nature of the characters. Match-ups are also very appropriate. Raven is certainly more serious than Starfire – and Starfire already shares the same fashion sense with Daphne in terms of color palette since both love purple. Cyborg loves to eat, although he can’t really be called a coward. Beast Boy’s talents make him a natural fit to become a goofy Great Dane that no one else could pull off. Robin is the most tactical of the Titans, as well as the leader, which makes him the best candidate to set traps like Fred and lead the hunt for bad guys. It might be silly, but this fan art is incredibly fun and suitable for Teen Titans and Scooby-Doo mystery-solving team.
