Virals: Celtic Fan Page Backs Sergio Ramos Deal

A Celtic fan account has joked about an unlikely arrival in heaven in Real Madrid bulwark Sergio Ramos.

The 35-year-old defensive veteran was confirmed to leave the European giants late last night, with his contract due to expire next month.

The central defender leaves with a stunning blow 101 goals to his name after 16 seasons and 671 games for Real Madrid, spending almost his entire career with the La Liga side following an early departure from Sevilla.

Present in Madrid since the age of 19 in 2005, he won 22 trophies with the club as well as a World Cup and two European championships with Spain.

With a remarkable trophy-laden career for the Spaniard, few would dispute that Ramos is one of the most iconic defensive mainstays of recent decades – and as one Tweet joked, he will soon be playing under the tutelage of Angel Postecoglou.

The All Celtic Celtic Twitter fan page (@aboutceltic) commented in a retweet of confirmation of Ramos’ departure of Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Would Ramos consider Celtic?

Yes

No

“It’s mental that he follows the instructions of Ange Postecoglou next season”, claimed the Tweet.

Never say never. If Celtic can find €15m a year to cover their wage demands, the Bhoys would have a chance!
